Our 100% eucalyptus essential oil product, “Globule” is a high-purity material containing a high level of 1,8-cineole.

In addition to its previously confirmed deodorizing performance—attributed to intermolecular interactions (van der Waals forces)—we have now confirmed its allelopathic activity.

Allelopathy refers to a biological phenomenon in which plants release chemical substances that influence the germination and growth of other plants.

In a bioassay using lettuce seeds, root and hypocotyl elongation were measured as growth indicators. The results demonstrated a growth inhibitory effect.

Beyond deodorization applications, this product shows potential for use in environmental control and plant management fields utilizing naturally derived volatile components.
